BATTLE OF THE BANDS : THE DEBUTONICS
About THE DEBUTONICS
The young band, “The Debutonics” initially formed out of a desire to participate in a student talent show at Barnhart School. The members connected so well that they decided to stay together and commit to developing their musical skills and collective sound, even though two of the students would be attending new schools. A shared love of music and performing has kept these kids together. “The Debutonics” consists of four members with very diverse musical influences and backgrounds. Nolan (drums) expressed his musicality as a toddler by playing on buckets and paint cans and now anchors the band with strong rhythm, energy and sound. He is influenced by such bands as The Police and 21 Pilots. Sean(keys) has an eclectic taste in music ranging from classical to jazz and rock. His diverse taste in music helps him to develop and add texture and tone to the bands overall sound. His shyness almost kept him from performing until his drummer buddy convinced him to join the group. Enzo (bass) is the group’s musical trifecta, in that he can play drums, cello and bass guitar. He has studied classical and jazz and is now enjoying rocking it out on bass with “The Debutonics .” Monet (vocals) is the only girl in this otherwise all boy band. Monet says she enjoys singing because she feels liberated and free to experiment with different tones and sounds in an instinctive way. Her greatest vocal influence is Stevie Nicks.
Many thanks to Billy Burke at Montecito Music, for giving this band your guidance and a home!
